It's been almost three weeks since my last post. Where has the time gone??? Mrs was in Florida for a short time to visit her Mom earlier in the month. I stayed home with the critters and also had a friend's Doberman staying with us while the family was at a swim meet in Vermont. This also served as a trial run for her being with us for the school vacation going on now. She is a wonderful 9 year old Doberman and may be one of the sweetest dogs I have ever dealt with. She has an amazing disposition.. She smiles, too which I think is fantastic.
Harry continues to grow like a weed. As of his last weigh in a couple days ago, he was at 58 pounds. He had his first Basic Obedience class this past Saturday. I was nervous, but he was able to do the initial basic stuff nicely. Mrs has taught him most basic commands already, so that makes things a bit easier. I need to work on my confidence and patience. It's hard to believe he is only 7 1/2 months old though. He's such a good boy.
The weather continues to be weird. We already have snow drops in bloom, as well as daffodils poking up, mustards in bloom, dandelion in flower here and there. Aside from the one snow storm which dropped ten inches, it's been surprisingly pleasant. Will this cause problems for us this spring and summer? More ticks? More fleas? More anything? Or will things just level out and be 'normal'? Obviously we won't know until it happens, and why worry about it, really?
I'll be ordering seeds soon, likely again from High Mowing in Vermont. I don't want to go too crazy, but I would like to do enough of this and that to freeze. I'm hoping for a good summer and winter squash year as well.
Not much to tell at this point. Once I am down one dog, I'll be out and about with our two and the camera. If the weather continues as nice as it has been, I may even plant peas or some cold crop greens to see if anything happens.

I tried yesterday twice to leave a comment but each time I hit publish, my ISP weny down.
I do love smiling Dobies but the first one I saw got a face full of pepper spray. I misunderstood the flashing teeth. I knew as the spray left the can that I had made a mistake and spent about 15 minutes flushing his face from a garden hose. Enjoy your house guest.
Oh Patti! How terrible you must have felt. They are very forgiving creatures though.
hey Barry, my brother Kelly is ordering seeds too. Someone gave him a greenhoyse frame, so he is in the process of getting that up.
Love the pics of your" house guest", hey at least he smiles....some guests dont!! Barb
