Egg-stremes....

Back in November, 2009, I posted (here) about a rather large egg delivered by one of our hens.
Yesterday Mrs found an unusually small egg in one of the nest boxes.

Here is the little egg in question next to one of the normal-sized eggs. Production is up now that spring is here and in fact we had 100% production (5 eggs) one day last week

Mrs cracked the rather hard shell and had to use a knife to get through the inner membrane. A small yolk and bit of albumen was inside. Not enough to use, but neat for the novelty of it.
