AT 5 PM EDT...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE EARL WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 26.3N...LONGITUDE 73.3W. THIS WAS ABOUT 1050 MILES SOUTH
OF NANTUCKET MA. STORM MOTION WAS NW OR 320 DEGREES AT 17 MPH.
STORM INTENSITY WAS 135 MPH.

Gosh, I hate hurricane watching as it casts its eye in your direction. Tornadoes are pretty much a "just found out it is coming and poof it is gone". Either a direct hit or a complete miss.
Hurricanes torment you for days and cover such huge areas.
Hoping Earl takes more of a turn to the East.
Just in case, be prepared and stay safe.
Are you going to have to evacuate? I do hope it misses you and you only get rain. It must be scary.
Batten down the hatches.
We're well-prepared and ready to go! Been through enough of them. I'm not going anywhere and wouldn't. I'm in public safety and would not be able to leave anyway.
The storm should get out of here pretty quick. Hurricane Warning now. 24 hours from now it should be going full tilt.
