In The Freezer

I spent some time today cleaning and processing the beans I picked yesterday (see below) for freezing. I blanch them and then freeze them. The process is simple. Place beans in boiling water for 1 minute, dump them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process, drain until they are not soaking wet, then load into FoodSaver bags and vacuum pack them. The FoodSaver is a wonderful tool.

I packaged them so there is enough for one, maybe two meals for the two of us.
