Dave Matthews Band

Mrs and I attended the Dave Matthews Band concert at Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA last night. We had never been to a DMB show before, but after seeing Dave and Tim Reynolds perform at Farm Aid in the same venue in 2008, we both decided we would like to see a full show.

Mrs was able to get what I would call good seats on fairly short notice. We were not in the first sections, but were immediately behind them in front of the center sections. Even better we were in chairs placed in spaces reserved for handicapped seating. This meant that there was no one directly in front of us, our view was virtually unobstructed because we were up one level, and the isle had to be kept clear because of the handicapped access which meant no crazy, drunken dancers jumping around in front of us.

Seats filling up prior to DMB hitting the stage.

We arrived to catch the last few songs of the opening band called Yonder Mountain String Band. I am a bit disappointed that we missed their show.

No good camera shots, but I did snag one of the screen above the stage. The band is absolutely incredible and Dave's energy is amazing. It is one of the longest sets I have seen at almost 2 1/2 hours. Great to see Tim Reynolds again.
