Massachusetts Periodical Cicadas Brood XIV
I found a few individuals this morning. I was hoping for a better showing.
Nothing further and so far no noise. I watched one fly up into the trees yesterday so we'll see. I'm just happy to have seen them again.

Yay some of ours are out too. I was going to post about it but didn't down load the pic. I am totally excited!
My daughters yard is in full infestation and we watched as my grandaughter was examining one pretty closely. She was feeling the wings and the "nose" and giggling until her brother came up and ripped it in half so she popped her half in her mouth! Wish I had the camera ready!
